Nikki Haley is the real deal. There’s no doubt about that. Trump made a fantastic decision when he appointed her to represent us at the United Nations.
The U.N. is a joke. We all know that. Which is why it’s important that we have a U.N. ambassador that isn’t shy about telling the truth.
That’s exactly what Nikki Haley is.
She’s been right on every single issue so far.
Not only that, she has a clear understanding of how badly Obama botched his foreign policy efforts. There isn’t a single region in the world where Obama made things better. Not one. The world was literally on fire when he left.
Cuba is a great example of that and Nikki Haley just unloaded on him for it in epic fashion.
From The Daily Wire:
In a speech before the General Assembly on Thursday, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley excoriated the Obama administration over its “casual cruelty” toward the Cuban people.
She also made it clear that despite last year’s abstention (the first in 25 years), the U.S. would be voting against the resolution described by the U.N. as “calling for an end to the United States-led economic, commercial and financial embargo on Cuba.”
Here you go…
I’m not the only one who was impressed.
The gang over at National Review were feeling it too.
From National Review:
The United Nations General Assembly is home to many of the worst and most dishonest speeches ever given on the Planet Earth, but on November 1, the U.S. ambassador, Nikki Haley, delivered one of the great speeches of the year. In a hall famous for the defense of despotism, she spoke the truth about Cuba — and about America. The occasion was the annual condemnation of the U.S. embargo against Cuba. Last year the Obama administration refused to vote against this resolution condemning . . . the United States! Haley explained that vote and this year’s vote, with a lesson about American democracy and a swipe at the Obama decision: When the United States abstained on this resolution last year, its decision was explained by saying, “We recognize that the future of the island lies in the hands of the Cuban people.” There is a casual cruelty to that remark for which I am profoundly sorry. Regrettably, as of today, the future of Cuba is not in your hands. It remains in the hands of your dictators. The United States opposes this resolution today in continued solidarity with the Cuban people and in the hope that they will one day be free to choose their own destiny.
Gotta love it.
Obama screwed the people of Cuba over.
Those days are over. Thank God.
